Mother Kevin Providence Social Enterprise (MKPSE) trains and engages women and youth groups by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and partnerships necessary for sustainable farm enterprises.
Our approach focuses on developing Farm-Microenterprises, such as poultry, piggery, mushroom cultivation, and horticulture, to address poverty, create jobs, and increase household income for women and youth farmers in rural communities around Jinja.
MKPSE’s origins trace back to the Association of Consecrated Women in East and Central Africa (ACWECA). Recognizing the ongoing challenges faced by local institutes due to donor fatigue, ACWECA sought ways to help African sisters’ institutes become self-sustaining and continue their vital ministries. Sisters are testing the soils to establish soil fertility. This is a follow up to ensure the use of correct farming methods to achieve the best results.
Among our clients are young mothers who dropped out of school, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of these women are traumatized and struggling to care for themselves and their babies

The members of the Institute Leadership Team play a crucial role in guiding and supporting the Enterprise, ensuring its growth and benefit to the entire Institute. They are responsible for expanding MKPSE’s reach to all six regions of the Institute.
Additionally, the Leaders assist the on-ground team in sourcing funds for the programs.
